Lines way, way, way too long at this and most CVS's in Oakland, CA in 2025-2026. The staff is friendly and they work hard, but CVS refuses to hire enough staff to handle such a big customer load; maybe the owner's 'bottom line' is more important than customers getting proper service. I had majority of my prescription tranferred to CVS about a day or two ago. The CVS website says one of the meds I really need to be refilled won't be ready until the 18th. So i went to the store in person to ask if they could expedite it, and to my surprise it was already ready! In fact, most of my meds were ready! That was a huge surprise. lol The only downside is the glass makes it difficult for me to hear, I am hard-of-hearing. I didn't wear my hearing aids, I usually don't need to but with the glass, the guy was barely audible for me. Maybe incorporate some kind of mic for the deaf would be nice.

The pharmacy is terrible. Today to pharmacy techs were fighting, visible to customers. While a line of 15 customers grew. The wait times are terrible. They never update their info on addresses, even when asked to do it. They are always understaffed and wait times are ridiculous.

So long as Carla, Luis,and the Pharmacist continues to work at the Fruitvale location. These folks are unrivaled with respect to customer care and service. Carla was the first pharmacy staff that I interacted with and she made my experience, well, unforgettable! She is stellar! Furthermore, I have had nothing but a smooth experience at this location, every staff member has been far beyond my expectations :)

The staff at this location are unsuited to serve the given demographic. The head pharmacist is unprofessional and has been the subject of a complaint that I filed with the regulating agency. I recommend that you go to Safeway, Costco, Walgreens or an online pharmacy to avoid the staff at this location.
