This is honestly one of the better cvs pharmacies I’ve been to/dealt with. The staff are always kind and friendly, the pharmacy manager is excellent, kind, understanding, and not on a power trip(which I’ve experienced at plenty of other pharmacies before). That being said, The floater pharmacists are the only reason I’m deducting one star. They are way overly cautious about fill dates-there’s no reasoning with them and it just becomes what it is (so whatever they think is right). This throws off my pickup dates and leaves me with days where I’m either out of or stretching my meds. This often confuses the other, non floater, pharmacists, who then apologize and get my meds/the fill date back on track. It’s been about a year and a half of using this pharmacy consistently and all in all, so far, so good. Things can change and I’ll be back to re-review, if they do.

The CVS in the Emeryville Target store is often very busy so there is a long line most of the time. While the wait is why I gave them four instead of five stars, everyone I have interacted with has been kind, helpful, cheerful, and informative. They work is a pretty busy environment and I've only seen them be kind with and helpful to everyone.

Cvs would rather make a secondary page for this location and bot the reviews than fix the issues that exist. Currently in line, been here for 45 minutes and it's only moved once, yesterday I was here and hour then turned away. The only person to be helped was told there was an issue and they were calling someone "to figure it out". Don't get medications sent here. It's intentionally mismanaged. They only have one worker every time I've been.

I have been going to this Pharmacy for years and for years the staff did not change much, they got to know who I am and viceversa. And then all of a sudden (I think at some point after the initial closing of the store due to the pandemic rioting scare, I noticed there are all new staff members and I had really enjoyed not having to give my name and birthday every time I went in. You know how it's cool to be a regular somewhere, you feel all special and stuff...lol You feel welcome. I don't feel especially UNwelcome at this Pharmacy with the new staff. On the contrary they have all been friendly and courteous for the most part, but my main beef with them is that they close early an awful lot, because of being short-staffed or something...😑 so I will have important and unable to be delivered medications that I really need to pick up and because of my busy schedule, only have certain times in which to do it. And so the website will say that they are open, (like today for instance) like I thought because I know their hours quite well, yet when I called to make sure that my prescriptions are ready for pickup, sometimes it will say the pharmacy is closed, sometimes it won't. In the latter case, I will foolishly and pointlessly RUN to get there in time... and be totally and utterly dismayed at my wasted effort and energy and time because they will have been in vain since upon arrival, I find that oppressive silvery-gray gate closed and the lights off and nobody present. I was very grateful when one time I had called ahead of time and they stayed open a couple of minutes late for me, something they don't do anymore, and the gate was just being lowered when I was running and yelling wait wait I'm here I made it and breathless at the counter , a sweaty red face but feeling Victorious because I ended up making it after all. Sometimes they close a few minutes before 8, sometimes they close a few hours before 8, and that is on weekdays. On weekends they close at 5 and that is ridiculously early! I wish that they had the hours that the CVS on San Pablo Avenue had (hint hint) bur unfortunately you cannot transfer Controlled Substances easily to a pharmacy that is not your Pharmacy. Oh well, C'est La Vie I guess. You guys are cool and all, just PLEASE STOP CLOSING SO EARLY FOR THE LOVE OF ALL THINGS GOOD IN THIS SICK SAD WORLD...!!! God bless, love and light💜🔥☺

Angela at CVS pharmacy of Emeryville inside Target is such an amazing employee, she is passionate about her job , her tasks, she listens, and pays attention to details and has the patience required to work at a fast phase environment. I would like to congratulate Angela, she is truly an amazing employee and human being.
