I cannot say enough incredible things about Muhammed, the pharmacy manager at CVS inside Target in the South Loop. As aomeone in the medical field, I’m very familiar with the complexities and nuances of insurance approvals, prior authorizations, and prescription logistics. Even with that background, I recently found myself in a frustrating situation trying to coordinate multiple medications before a long international trip. Timing was critical, and despite understanding the system, I kept hitting roadblocks. Muhammed stepped in and completely changed the experience. He personally called my insurance company multiple times, followed up persistently, and even coordinated directly with my physician’s office to ensure everything was processed correctly and without delay. He didn’t just “do his job” — he took ownership. He treated my situation with urgency, professionalism, and genuine care. What stood out most was his calm demeanor and depth of knowledge. He understands the healthcare system inside and out. Watching him navigate insurance barriers so efficiently made it clear: he was absolutely meant to be a pharmacist. His clinical understanding, attention to detail, and patient advocacy are exceptional. In a system that can often feel impersonal and transactional, Muhammed leads with compassion and integrity. He deserves the highest recognition for his dedication and leadership. CVS is incredibly fortunate to have him — and so is every patient he helps. If I could give more than five stars, I absolutely would.

This CVS pharmacy team is always outstanding. Every interaction is Careful - CARE-full… they literally show care and take care - always. In person and by phone / text: they are friendly, prompt, informative, patient and accurate. A true gem in the city!

Zaria at the Target pharmacy was absolutely amazing. I wasn’t feeling well, and she took the time to make sure I was using my insurance and any available coupons so I could get the best deal on my medications. Even with a semi-long line, she treated me and every other patient with patience, kindness, and genuine care. Employees like Zaria make all the difference, and I truly appreciate her professionalism and compassion.

This is my go-to CVS. I’m treated really well by all the team members. I enjoy seeing them work together especially with the pure volume of customers. If you have a bad experience, it’s probably you.

The staff is great. I picked up prescription meds yesterday while I was out and about all morning. On the app, the closing time shows as 1:30 pm which is basically a 30 min lunch window. The pharmacy is open again at 2 pm, something to know if you are checking hours on phone. I was calling and automated responses would only leave voicemail with expected return calls after an hour.
