The non-doctor receptionist is highly unprofessional and misgendered me more than three times. The staff member also disallowed me from conversing with a pharmacist. The lack of humility resulted in the staff member not grappling with their own limitations as a non-medical expert. I intended to speak with a doctor who has extensive expertise. From my understanding, speaking on behalf of a licensed pharmacist without the credentials is fundamentally misguided. I value empirical, evidence-based medicine from vetted doctors. For context, the lack of decorum occurred today, 5/15/2026 at 5:33pm CT via phone. I would strongly recommend a mandated Performance Improvement Plan and DEI training. In the meantime, I will no longer use you all’s services.

I find it surprising at the type of people that work here. Considering this is such a decent neighborhood. They really need to consider hiring a different class of people. I got stuck with a really nasty cashier. Now I understand why employers don’t hire certain groups of people. It’s their bad attitudes.

I was accused of stealing, I'm a Security Officer by education and experience. If I was the Security guard at any location, I would have asked for a receipt before I accused anyone of stealing. Thank God I had my receipt. One less customer, won't hurt them. Only drawback for me? Jewel Osco was my favorite place to shop. My money can be used anywhere, Thanks for EMBASSINGE

Update: store is no longer open 24hours. The pharmacy hours have been cut even more. On a Saturday the pharmacy closes at 6pm? This is Chicago. Albertsons continues to ruin Jewel-Osco. I LOVE the staff at this location. They are awesome, but Albertsons cutting hours so much is very disappointing. I ask Albertsons to PLEASE return the store to being open 24hrs and the pharmacy as well. This is downtown Chicago. Please. Original Review: The store is open 24/7, but this pharmacy is no longer open 24hrs a day. Since this happened, the service of this pharmacy leaves a lot to be desired. Everyone that works here are GREAT, but it seems way understaffed now, and since they are no longer open 24hrs, prescriptions take way longer to be filled. I would welcome a return of 24hr pharmacy service because they seemed to be A LOT better when that was the case. Plus, I live a life where I work at odd hours and the fact they were open 24hrs was a HUGE reason both my gf and myself switched our prescriptions over in the first place. Please consider reopening 24hrs or bring in more people so service improves because it needs it. Thanks!

I've had decent experiences with this pharmacy in the past, but today was shocking. Two staff members, including the pharmacy manager, were extremely impatient and unhelpful when I needed assistance with a vacation supply of my medication. This required a call to my insurance, but they flat-out refused, first saying they wouldn't call, then claiming they didn’t have time. When I explained that I urgently needed my medication for an upcoming trip, the manager stepped in and, rather than helping, yelled at me, accusing me of wasting their time, before abruptly hanging up. I was left with no choice but to transfer my prescription to Walgreens to ensure I had my medication in time. If anyone from store management reads this, I strongly urge you to investigate this incident. No customer should be treated with such disrespect, especially when it comes to their health.
