Walgreens Pharmacy at University Health Behavioral Health

I will never understand why some people choose to work in a pharmacy that is located in a behavioral health facility and choose to treat people like absolute garbage. I have never seen such disrespect from people at a pharmacy than I have seen and experienced from Jessica and Lisa who work in this pharmacy. These two treat the patients who come to this pharmacy like they don’t deserve any respect or or deserve any kindness strictly based on the fact that the patients are being seen at a behavioral health facility. No one should ever be allowed to treat patients this way Walgreens would do everyone a favor and make this place a better place to use if they got rid of Jessica and Lisa, I’m just tired of feeling shamed every time I leave this pharmacy. It’s not right.

People need to understand that this Walgreens caters to the Truman Behavioral Health Center (located there as well) patients almost exclusively, however they will still do immunizations and other services that other Walgreens provide. This pharmacy has only been a Walgreens for a couple of months as of 10/02/15. I'm sure you can have certain medications transferred there as they are hooked into the Walgreens system. I used the Truman pharmacy that was there for a long time and I didn't know what to expect when they announced that Walgreens was taking over. I was happy to see that the same employees got to keep their positions. Hopefully they received an increase in pay as this is a demanding and unusual pharmacy due to the influx of mentally handicapped people that the job requires them to handle with more understanding, extra care, and hospitality day in and day out. These are very hard working people that sincerely care about the patients at Truman Behavioral Health Center. Their job is very demanding compared to other pharmacies - Walgreens included. I only hope they know how much they have helped me. Thank you, Shawn G.

They Walgreens needs to disclose wether or not it’s a Walgreens location or a shared building… I came for a covid shot, and this was in the behavior center. It was busy , and my appointment was at 10:30, I prefilled out my application for information and I still have to refill it out again. I’m pregnant and this was not the environment I wanted to be in.

I’ve had so many problems filling my scripts here. Once I waited over an hour in the waiting room to have them tell me, to my face, that they didn’t get the request to fill them which I had submitted online days before and in person at the beginning of that time. I could not recommend this place less.

This is one of those hidden "gems" that you don't come across too often and you really don't want others to know it exists. This is a pharmacy only location, but is the quickest, easiest pharmacy to get in and out of. You don't spend much time waiting at all. The staff is super friendly and attentive. Parking is a breeze and most of the time I've been able to get prescriptions filled within an hour of calling them in to the pharmacy.
