Susan McGhee 4 months agoI believe the team that worked here did a excellent job of helping me work through the issues I had to deal with in trying to pick up a refill. Our doctor called in the refill 3 days ago, called us back to confirm that his nurse made this call to the CVS in Long Beach CA. That is where we live. I never got a notice that the sodium pills were ready for pick up. This is an easy pill, by the way. Since we had to fly to Texas this morning, I figured I will run to any CVS pharmacy and get a few loaner pills. Well unfortunately when I got to CVS downtown Forth Worth, TX, they said the refill was not called in. Since it is not the first time this has happened, it is clearly a CVS system issue! This has happen numerous times with my doctors office as well as my husband's doctors office of which there are a few! For some odd reason our doctors will call it in but it does not seem to register with CVS. Then we loose time and are out of that drug by the time I go in and call doctor offices, or my insurance company and then eventually CVS gets it. This has happened enough times and maybe this is a California issue, I absolutely despise working with CVS in California. My husband has cancer and I have Asthma. Unfortunately we have to depend on Pharmacies for our medication. For many decades I worked with Rite Aid so I know CVS should do better. Rite Aid techs and pharmacists make it they mission to help patients get their medications. Sometimes I will get a call from the pharmacist on ways I can get better pricing for that drug and sometimes they will call me and tell me the issue on their system when a call from the doc office did not come through so I don't waste my time for that text on pick up! It is called CARING CUSTOMER SERVICE! Unfortunately due to Rite Aids closing down or restucturing, it was harder to get some of the meds my husband was on. We finally move to CVS, and I hate the impersonal attention, the lines to pick up and if you have questions you have to move to the Consult line, and after getting the answer....you have to go back in line to the pick up line. You have the worst impersonal system! Shame on you for getting all these feedback and do absolutely nothing to better your system. This particular feed back is a reflection on California system. The CVS team members here in Forth Worth did try to help me yet they were very limited in what they could do.
Jonas Medina 6 months agoThis was my first visit to this CVS pharmacy, and unfortunately it was a very uncomfortable experience. While I was next in line, the technician stepped away and helped a customer behind me. When I reached the counter, the pharmacist rang up my prescription but did not know how to process a manufacturer’s co-pay savings card and said the technician would need to help. Instead of assisting me, the technician helped two more customers who arrived after me, even though I was already waiting. I was out of medication and urgently needed it, which made the delays especially stressful. When the technician finally helped me, I showed the co-pay card on my phone. Without asking permission or explaining what he was doing, he took my phone from my hand and walked to another register, completely out of my sight. That was extremely uncomfortable and inappropriate. I had no idea what was being done with my personal device. I felt I was treated very differently than other customers. Although the technician apologized for the delay, it did not feel genuine given the circumstances. I also clearly declined a medication explanation because I am already taking it, yet he continued anyway, further delaying me. The entire interaction felt dismissive and uncomfortable, and I did not feel supported by the pharmacist. I expect professionalism, respect, and urgency when picking up critical medication, and this location did not meet that standard.
Lin Rose 6 months agoI went to go get a prescription that I have received from this location every month for over a year. When I got there, the lady behind the counter, took my ID and then searched for my prescription. She pulled the prescription out and then went to go help someone else. Finally when she came back she told me she could not give me my prescription because She needed more information from the physician. This was the same prescription that I have received for over a year and my physician has not changed anything which I told the pharmacist. She ignored me and told me she will not be giving me my prescription until she talks to my doctor Even though my CVS app said the prescription was ready. I contacted my physician and she said no one had contacted her from CVS. She then called the pharmacist and the pharmacist told her they needed a specific code for my prescription which my Physician told me in the 23 years she She has Prescribed this medication this has never been required and is not required. We decided the best point of Action would be to send my prescription to Walgreens. Worst CVS Pharmacy experience I’ve ever had. I also need to take my medication once a day and due to the pharmacist refusing to give me my medication that said it was ready And that I have received every month I am now having to go over a week without my medication. This should not be allowed And I have seen in the reviews that this happens multiple times at this location with no explanation.
Kristie Falbo 6 months agoThis pharmacy is by far the worst that I’ve ever dealt with. They made me wait until the last minute to request a refill that they had on file for over a month. The same prescription that they filled last month. Allegedly because my doctor said to wait; but my doctor doesn’t tell any other pharmacies to wait. Then after 5 on Friday I find a message that I needed to contact the pharmacy. After being on and off hold for 15 minutes, I was told by Shakira that I needed to reach out to my provider and that she wasn’t comfortable filling it because of the way that it was written. This is the exact same prescription that they fill every month. So now it’s Friday at 7 pm, I am out of my prescription, and there’s nothing that I can do about it. It’s like they’re actively working to keep me from getting my prescription. Every single month is a battle.
Rich Casey a year agoPharmacy on second level, rarely able to pick up multiple rx in one trip, something always out of stock. Does not understand that I have my card and signature linked for easier faster service. The homeless outside asking for money, food or a ride to the shelter is always a nice touch.
