Arvind Kumar 4 months agosomeone told me HEB was better than the Walgreens down the road, but honestly my experience is just the same 2 stars. There is one upside though, they don’t ask you to verify if you call from your registered phone.
Philip Mount 2 years agoLike most people I’ve been working with different pharmacies over the years. HEB Pharmacy is miles ahead of any other I’ve dealt with. They will find you discounts through various discount cards like GoodRX. The staff is highly professional and courteous. Funny to say this but one of the things I’ve really come to appreciate is that they pick up the phone when you call. Other pharmacies you call are similar to walking through a verbal maze with hold times and automated voice options that never end. Keep it up!! 10 stars.
Reyna Hernandez 5 years agoI recently moved to the Heights from Jersey Village. I have always filled my prescriptions at the JV HEB without any issues. When I tried to use the Heb on Buffalo heights they lied to me and refused to fill my VALID prescriptions TWICE! I had surgery on May 21st and they lied to the person picking up my medication saying the doctor had canceled my pain med prescription. Luckily I was able to handle the pain. When I went in for my post op the doctor asked me if I was taking the medication and I told him what they said. He was confused and said he never called to cancel anything. He said he’s never even done that before. Yesterday I went to my normal doctor and tried once again to have my prescriptions sent to the Buffalo Heights HEB, I have an injured arm so I couldn’t drop off or pick up myself. The person dropping off my VALID prescriptions was told by JONATHAN that once again that they couldn’t fill them. This time it was because “the doctor is out of the area” (my doctor is 20 minutes away in Humble lol) Then he tried to say it was “too early for me to fill one of my prescriptions that I should be good til July” EXCUSE ME? I didn’t know it was up to him to tell me when I can or can’t refill a prescription. You would think the doctor I see almost every month would be aware of that. I was actually WAY past my refill date because I was out of town for a whole month and actually missed my normal doctors appointment. This place is ridiculous. We realized Jonathan was just making excuses so I had my friend ask about one of my prescriptions that was sent electronically and he was told that the “other pharmacy could fill it if they want to” What the hell does that even mean? Yes Jonathan I know that you aren’t filling my paper prescriptions because you don’t want to but now I’m needing your lazy a** to call and have the prescription transferred. He reluctantly called the HEB in JV to have my electronic prescription filled there. The person helping me had to make the extra drive there just because these jerks wouldn’t fill my prescriptions. Holy cow what does it take to get a prescription filled at this location? I’m starting to think it’s a race thing. This area is predominantly white and I don’t see anyone else has had negative experiences at this location. It’s not fair that I have to travel to my previous location just because they don’t want to fill my valid prescription without a valid reason for it. It’s extremely frustrating.
Wilson Tam 3 years agoLet me start off by saying I am also a pharmacist so I may be biased but this is definitely the best pharmacy service I have received from a retail pharmacy that I have encountered. Retail pharmacy is the largest collection of angry and bitter patients that I have encountered in my practice but despite that, the staff at this location was more attentive and helpful than any other place that I have been to. I provided my information and within 5 minutes and I was done and on my way. Specifically Jocelyn, the pharmacist squeezed me in right before they closed and I received my COVID vaccine. If you actually want someone who cares about your well-being, come here. If you're just another Karen that wants to complain about things out of the pharmacy's control, I guess keep leaving your bad reviews.
Eli Hunt 2 years agoSo, it is a great store, BUT 1.-their aloe vera leaves are obviously exposed to too much humidity or cold and, today they were all old, withering, and scratched up. Where are they getting them from?? 2.-the eggs also seem to have been exposed to humidity, which weakens the shell and they look stained and almost cracked. this also makes them susceptible to absorbing bad things that can in turn make humans sick. eggs need to be kept dry!!!!!
