Costco Pharmacy

I normally try to avoid Costco pharmacy because their terrible service but today needed to pick up medications today and couldn't wait to have them sent. I had called earlier to make sure they had my medication ready but the lady seemed annoyed that I was even asking. Then she was especially annoyed when she found out that it was sent this morning. I had to go out of town and was on my way to Costco to pick up the medication. She told me it would be an hour. I was already on my way so I hoped being there in person it would get taken care of faster since I have to leave for out of town. The person at the counter said to speak with another person, who ended up being the lady I spoke with on the phone. She was very annoyed in person and said, "I told you it would be an hour". I told her I had hoped it would be faster in person since I had to leave and she said, "do you see the line? It's not faster so It'll probably be another 30 minutes since I last told you" Any other pharmacy I've been to is usually kind, understanding, and tries to help. NOT Costco pharmacy. I've never had a good experience at Costco pharmacy. I love everything else about Costco except their pharmacy, which I try to avoid like the plague.

Typically love Costco, but their pharmacy service is awful. I show and drop my prescription off and told it’s ready in half hour. It was a pre sealed box of flea meds that required nothing other than grabbing box off shelf. I return half hour later only to have pharmacist tell me they don’t have it. Would it have really been that hard to tell me that in the first place?

If I could give a 0 star review, I would. Had the most terrible experience with this Pharmacy Manager and the workers. I request that my medication is in the original unsealed container because of the storing requirements of the medication and I basically got bullied and was told that they've been accommodating my request but will not do so anymore. Its super disappointing that my insurance through Costco will only allow me to get my prescription at Costco pharmacy, otherwise I would change it. This is the first time I've gotten bad customer service from Costco.

I am new to using the pharmacy. I would give 5 stars but my med has to be ordered, changes in price, and I pay out of pocket. I do like the low price but I forget to return in a timely manner. Despite the drawbacks I rate 4 stars because the staff is pleasant, friendly, and keeps me informed. The customer service is important to me and I can shop.

Beyond impressed. Justin was so helpful in getting me my meds today. It was a cluster as I just had surgery last week and getting a new script for pain meds isn’t easy these days. He called my doctor office and me serval times throughout the day and kept me up to date with great communication. I honestly have never had such a positive experience at a pharmacy. He even came out from working to listen to my horror story of this surgery and all the issues that have come with it. I felt listened too and cared for, thank you so much for being understanding and available to help me!
