This was perfect for my husband and I. Seems like several units are rentals. The one complaint I've read was in regards to the "smells". Again, this building is filled with rentals as well as actual residents who may use stronger spices, etc when cooking. Other than that the front desk was super helpful and the guard on duty was always amiable. Close access to everything. Unit had what we looked for...a kitchen, a living room, bedroom and washer/dryer and a gym with treadmill. Yes, it gets loud on the weekends, but it is also downtown New Orleans. Would stay here again.

I can say that the building is old, but they keep it clean. It's well located near the center, and the nightlife is very active, so the apartments facing the street aren't ideal for relaxing, and the noise is constant. Depending on who you rent from, your stay will be either beneficial or not. I wouldn't rent from SONDER again, as they have apartments in this building.
