I have to use this place for a compounded drug for my dog whom has cancer. I have not been impressed. First time I went I had to verify for them I was ok with the cost. I gave them the ok and they said they would fill it and to come back next day. I went back the next day and they said I had to ok the cost and they had not filed it. I gave them my ok again and let them know this was the 2nd time I answered that for them. They said they would call when it was ready. 2 more days went by and I did not hear from them. So I called and again they said I had to ok the cost. This is the Third time I have my ok. The finally filled it. Then it was time for me to get a refill. I went online and requested the refill. I received a message from their oine portal that it would be ready in 24 hours. I wanted 2 days. Went down to pick it up only to find out they had not filled it yet. When I told them that I requested the refill on line they said "well the online does not always work for compounds". Now I have to wait 3 days for them to fill it (per their request). I am not impressed at all. They really should do better. Unfortunately they are the only place that does compound drugs.

I have been using this pharmacy for about 4 months now as I need compounded medications. They are very nice here, very patient dealing with the insurance issues, and I love that you can communicate with them via text when you need a re-order or have questions. Makes it so easy! They also mail prescriptions if you need that service! Update December 2023: ANOTHER great experience at this location/pharmacy! The person that helped me, Shaelyne, was so helpful, efficient, and polite! This pharmacy is so efficiently run, they have the cutest little trinkets and items- it reminds me of the pharmacies I went to as a child.

This is the absolute best pharmacy I've utilized. Brian has been helpful and gone above and beyond to the degree of consulting with other physicians based on his expertise. The staff are great at customer service and because it's a compound pharmacy, it's also a small museum of antique medicines behind locked glass cabinets. They also sell quality, fair trade children's toys, plus vintage sweets that remind me of my great grandparents.

Wish I could share a more positive review but this place really shouldn't be in the business of dispensing pharmaceuticals. I have a broken jaw and was prescribed 2 different antibiotics to treat an infection. I have to take it twice a day. Was instructednot to miss a dose. I have now missed 4 doses of one and will likely miss a 5th as the staff told me on 3 different days that the script would be ready for pick up the following day only to be told the same thing when I arrived for pick up. Extremely unreliable. Avoid using them if you can.

I switched to the Medicine Shop from a large chain pharmacy about a year ago. Right before I was diagnosed with breast cancer. Barry and his crew were kind, answered questions,(even before I asked at times. Cancer is weird and comes with for too many questions!) and never missed an opportunity to go above and beyond. Thanks guys!
