alyson goodman a month agothis pharmacy as prompt, polite, and has great hours. they are often busy so i know patience is appreciated. i have never had an issue but also i am a nice, patient, and understanding person. if you have an issue i would suggest you look inward.
Rob Ciaccio 5 months agoThis pharmacy is getting to the point of being dangerous. Every time I come in, my medications are not ready even when they say they will be. The staff is consistently rude and instead of resolving issues they repeatedly blame being understaffed. They no longer answer the phone. I have called four or more times on four separate occasions over the past month and no one has picked up. Calls are eventually pushed to voicemail. When I contact the store’s front desk even they apologize for how bad the pharmacy is. What is most concerning is that other Safeway pharmacies in the area openly acknowledge how problematic this specific location is. That should be a serious red flag. This is not a convenience store or a minor service. This is a pharmacy responsible for people’s medications. The level of negligence here is unacceptable and genuinely concerning. Waiting until someone is harmed before taking action is irresponsible. Something needs to be done now. I will also be reaching out to DORA as well as the Colorado state board of pharmacy.
Rory Willis 5 months agoI switched to this pharmacy years ago and a majority of my experiences are positive. They usually have the medication I need and they've helped me out by talking to my doctor or transferring my prescription when necessary. Everyone on staff is nice and willing to help if you have patience and show respect. If there is a bad apple, they seem to leave or get managed out, so I'd like to think they're trying to maintain a standard of service. I'll stick with these folks.
Norma Hilary Gibson a year agoI have been using this pharmacy for a few years now, typically with fine results, but I had the worst experience this week and will never use them again. I came in at 5:45 pm with a prescription for an antibiotic for strep throat. They told me it would be 10 minutes for them to fill it. 30 minutes later I checked in and they told me their system was malfunctioning so they still hadn’t been able to fill the antibiotic for me but they were going to call IT to get it fixed. I ended up waiting 1.5 hours and no one on their team proactively checked in with me, kept me informed, or offered suggestions. Eventually I became concerned that I wouldn’t get my script before they closed at 7 pm and asked for alternatives. They recommended I call another pharmacy, ask that pharmacy to call them, and they’d transfer it. I did this and when I got to the other pharmacy, they told me Safeway was unable to transfer the script because Safeway’s system was down. It was an infuriating experience. I understand that technology doesn’t always work as expected but it was the humans in the mix who really dropped the ball—at no point did anyone at the pharmacy apologize or proactively communicate with me about the situation or my options, and the one solution they did suggest was a waste of time. A little empathy and communication would have gone a long way. I ended up at Walgreens at 8:30 pm and got my prescription filed in under 5 minutes. I will be going to Walgreens from here on out.
Janel Medina 12 months agoI switched to this Safeway pharmacy from KS on 9th bc Safeway is ALLOWED to carry medicine I take that KS isn't allowed to carry. I made the switch back in 2022 and I truly like this pharmacy. I've never had issues with filling any of my medications. There were times I needed my meds filled as "urgent" bc of the severity of my illness and they'd have them done within 20 min of my call. 🩷 When I needed a special medicine that had to be ordered, they had it there the next day for me, they've always dealt with any insurance issues on my behalf (though my ins is good at covering things) and they're always friendly to me, busy, but friendly. The only time I don't use this pharmacy is when my medication is super expensive and special and it goes through the UC health pharmacy bc of discount programs. I've always liked mom&pop shop pharmacies back in NJ and this place gives me the same feels.
