The pharmacy has been barely functioning for years. When you live a block away, it’s more convenient to just go across town to another pharmacy. Lines are always outrageously long and slow, nobody answers the phone, and orders are consistently messed up.

This review is not for the very kind and overworked pharmacists, it is for stupid walgreens corporate for understaffing the pharmacy and being mind blowingy sloppy. The line for service was so long and there were only like three pharmacists there, all of whom were serving customers and taking phone calls at the same time and clearly stressed. I had scheduled an appointment for a vaccine, which I checked in for but then had to wait like 25 minutes even though it was scheduled, which was fine and not a big deal. But THEN when I finally went back up to the counter, I was informed that the pharmacy did not have the vaccine at all. So I took time off work and wasted at least an hour of my day all to not get a vaccine. I received so many automated text and email reminders for this appointment - if walgreens, like every other corporation, is gonna skimp on hiring real people and just have everything be automated or AI, they should at LEAST be able to have a bot cancel an appointment if the vaccine isn't in stock. Insane

The store is fine. Pharmacy is a nightmare. The staff is nice but obviously they don’t have the resources they need. Every rX fill is a problem. Even with regular refills. Customer service is non-existent. I’ve literally called them, been on hold for an hour, gone to the store and waited in line for another 30 minutes WHILE still on hold. As I stood in line with my phone still glued to my ear at the off chance someone would answer, I could hear the phone behind the pharmacy desk ringing nonstop. Phone call wasn’t answered by the time I made it to the counter (obviously I hung up at that point). But then once I gave the clerk my information he suddenly was having trouble with the system (“it froze”) and told me to come back another time. Separately, I had a veterinarian submit some prescriptions for my pet here. The same vet had prescribed the same drugs for my pet earlier without incident (these were refills). This time, despite getting multiple text notifications from Walgreens that my pet’s prescriptions were ready to be picked up, the pharmacy could find no record of this. They eventually suggested I call the vet and have them resend the prescriptions. I don’t understand how Walgreens corporate does not investigate repeated filed but undelivered prescriptions at their pharmacies. The rate at this location has to be astronomical. Again, the staff is very nice and I think doing their best, but I haven’t had a prescription filled here without incident for at least 3 years. It was better when it was the temporary pharmacy in the shipping container after the summer of 2020. The Walgreens at Randolph and Snelling, while not perfect, is so much more reliable and easier to contact.

Giving 2 stars because at least the least the people working there have been pleasant to me (although other people have said they had different experiences). I recently started having to go in person to get a medication because they won’t mail it, and every time I go to this place, no matter the time, I sit in the drive thru for like 30 minutes. They usually have one person struggling back there. When I used to pick up at a CVS in Richfield, it never took me longer than 5 minutes to get my meds. I recently had to call and check on a prescription because this location was not filling it, after 15 days of waiting. I spent 30+ minutes on hold before giving up. I don’t think this is the staff being negligent, I think Walgreens needs to hire more people and quit treating their employees and customers like dirt.

Worst pharmacy I’ve ever been to. Takes an hr for anyone to pick up, always a line, and when it’s finally your turn the medication isn’t ready
