The pharmacy area is the absolute pitts!!! A mess!! They have like 15 people working back there but the line be down the aisle!!!! I will say they're all rather nice!! It's just the long line wait!! They have this one CVS pharmacy counter person I think her name is Venus(I think) she needs to calm down and relax a bit....all that shaking and dancing and being a busy body is unnecessary unless your busting yourself grabbing meds!! No! We have to watch her do a lil dance while we wait in line🙄....

If you don’t have to interact with the pharmacy, CVS Fairmount is wonderful. Every person who works in the front of house, meaning the entire store, but for the pharmacy, provides exemplary service. People who have reviews that don’t separate the pharmacy, from the rest of the store, aren’t aware that they’re managed by two entities. If I objectively was reviewing the store, and not the pharmacy, it would receive 5 stars! That’s because the person who is the Store Manager, ERICA MCCULLOUGH, IS A GEM. She is the type of person in a management role that SETS THE STANDARD FOR EVERYONE UNDER HER SUPERVISION; she’s personable, takes pride in every aisle of the store, from the floor to the ceiling, from the entrance to the farthest aisles. You’ll rarely ever see shelves that aren’t aligned to perfection. From Erica’s work ethic, you would think she is the store owner, and had a vested interest in its success. If not, she should. There is no task beneath her. This evening, when I went to the store to pick up prescriptions, a tractor trailer full of pallets of products to restock the store, was unloading. Regardless of the weather being 45 degrees, she was focused on getting everything inside effectively, and at a quick pace. Erica was picking up boxes, bringing them back in, and multitasking. Every employee, outside of the pharmacy has a phenomenal disposition. If you push a button on an aisle to get a product that’s locked behind glass, there’s no need to press it again. Someone pleasant takes accountability, ensures that customers are serviced promptly, and does so happily? YES- IF YOU DON’T INCLUDE THE PHARMACY. There’s been occasions where a product isn’t on a shelf, especially if it is a sale item. If you ask an employee if they have anymore in stock, if the employee even thinks there might be a chance there’s more in back, usually in the instances of products on sale, they’ll go to the back of the store, UNLIKE the usual answer you receive at OTHER stores, “if it’s not on the shelf, we’re out” an employee, goes above and beyond, showing initiative that is exemplary. For all the above reasons, what goes on in the pharmacy is unacceptable. I’ll compare it to children growing up in a toxic household that’s completely dysfunctional, and does not set a solid foundation nor example for what s healthy relationship is. It starts at the top. In the Pharmacy at CVS Fairmount, all issues, and inappropriate conduct, lead back to one person, the Pharmacy Manager, Amna Aziz. Amna is NOT a kind, considerate, professional, empathetic, compassionate, understanding, patient, pleasant effective, efficient, nor knows the meaning of customer-centric. You won’t receive phone calls back 95% of the time within an hour, nor 2-3 hours. As Amna says, “I have no time”. Ironically, even on day there was another pharmacist on staff, and almost 6 hours passed with no call back, the same pharmacy had employees utilize their time to have employees call customers to inquire about flu and immunization shots at CVS. That, they have time for! What’s even more funny, the one time Amna was ever nice, was when she was asking anyone approaching the pharmacy if they needed a shot. She even stated that when vouchers came in (which they used to use), she’d give me one. Never happened. What did that tell me? She’s manipulative, and can act properly when she needs something-probably to fill her quota. The mindset, attitude, and mood in the pharmacy leads back to Amna. One of the essential components that provides a healthy, productive, and conducive work environment that encourages teamwork, is when management sets the standard, and drama is not tolerated in the workplace. Mark Cuban has been quoted as noting: people who create drama in the workplace, cause it to be less effective and inefficient, a distraction that takes away from focusing on the task at hand, negatively impact their coworkers, the team who’s supposed to be productively working together for a common purpose. Amna Aziz is nothing more than malignant cancer that needs to be removed.

Although the lines can get long, the workers do their best to get to you as quickly as possible. The modest-size parking space outside is a huge plus, given the busy area the pharmacy is in. I went with 4 stars instead of 5 since the customer service is a bit underwhelming. The workers at the front can be friendlier—a warm greeting would go a long way.

Busy CVS pharmacy but I had a pleasant experience with the pharmacy associate. She handled everyone with a smile, and she had a lot of customers.
