This is a huge supermarket, but it's surprisingly hidden from the outside. The main entrance currently lies at the end of a plywood tunnel, while other entrances are kept closed much of the day. This market has a deli, bakery, and most other things you'd think likely in a gigantic grocery store. It stocks the popular name brands, but has a tendency towards also stocking more upscale boutique items as well. Prices look higher than a Meijer or ALDI on average, which is the only thing I dislike.

I only visit this location for my folks who live downtown. The produce section was clearly ignored. Didnt have a lot of products available. Just felt like it could be better managed overall. The check out staff was very friendly, which was nice. This location has historically been a few other grocers, Marsh and O'Malia's to name a few. The location is smaller by comparison to most the larger groceries stores nearby. Which is why its bizarre that they can't maintain product availability as well under this brand.

I absolutely love this place, when I first walk in I see all the fruits and vegetables and I can smell the freshness and then you see that wonderful deli and bakery and then you get to the groceries and of course some things may be a little bit higher but some things are not and it's definitely well worth it! I love to be able to walk into a absolutely clean & well-stocked store. I may not make it there as much as I like and that's only because I live on the other side of town and I wish there were a few more stores open in the Indianapolis area but if you did it any other way you wouldn't be Needlers! Thank you for giving us such a nice store to feel comfortable walking into!

What a gem in the heart of downtown! Fantastic grocery store with specialty items and organic choices. They have Sushi Boss sushi which is our favorite!!!!! Loved all the produce options, since we are cooking for my vegan friend who's visiting this week; I got asparagus and zucchini and summer squash, bananas and all different varieties of apples and a big ripe tomato!!!... although the prices were a bit high ($5 for a small bag of tiny potatoes!!) I will be coming regularly to the YMCA at the athenaeum for yoga classes and I think I may make Needler's part of my routine because it's a healthy atmosphere, friendly employees and good quality food. The aisles are all wonky like walking through a maze, they're on diagonals and they're kind of funny corners. It makes things interesting--less boring. I look forward to getting to know these aisles better. Also! Outside they have ping pong tables and checkers! It's so much fun! We got to play a few games and eat sushi! I also appreciate that there's a security guard in the parking lot just because it's downtown.... And I really really really appreciate that there is a parking lot, with free parking while you shop! In this particular neighborhood that is quite a luxury!! Okay this review is getting very long 🤪😃😆 Needler's is fantastic!

the day before a snow storm, I walked there to get my lottery tickets bought for the week before the storm hit. They said the office was closed today so that they could get the shelves stocked for the storm. I should come back tomorrow. Understood, I get it. So I went back the next day in the snow. I entered and saw a staff member in the office and I asked for my lottery tickets. He said they were closed and the manual machine in the lobby was broken. He then came out and stood with another associate doing nothing. I asked, you really can’t take care of a customer? Yes, I can’t. Bye. Nice customer service. Too many options to shop to shop downtown. I will be going to Whole Foods from now on. You can pay for a redo and look great but until you solve your customer service issue, you won’t see me any more!
